Often we park in our Campervan on ground which is not level. Most of the time for cooking and sleeping we prefer to be as level as possible. Of course a 2 way spirit level will do the job and whilst parking up you can get a rough idea of how the van lays but it is very approximate. Our Van Level projects use the popular ESP based hardware together with an Inertial Measurement Unit to measure roll, pitch and yaw.
Variants
We have a few different projects of the Van Level to cater for different hardware and different installation requirements. Generally the Pro projects cater for installations which have Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability. The others are WiFi based and need a 5V power supply. In keeping with our ideology, all our BlackPaw integration projects are based on existing freely available hardware. You buy the hardware, we will supply the firmware binary and instructions on how to build it. Just select a variant with the capabilities you need and take a note of the hardware you need to purchase.
