DIY Hardware Projects
Our Control System can already integrate over standard data protocols with many devices, but sometimes a suitable off-the-shelf device doesn’t exist, so we also support several DIY hardware projects. Purchase the hardware and follow our installation instructions and/or video content to build your own device.
A Bluetooth Proxy device using a simple M5 Stack Atom ESP controller. Useful if you are running Home Assistant in a Docker container or don't yet have a Bluetooth dongle or Bluetooth capability on your server.
Several Van Level devices let you know the highest wheel and tells you the distance under each wheel to get it level. Also it tells you the total lift needed so you can make sure you have enough bags/chocs.

Connect to the Roamer early BMS, the Xtreme range of batteries and monitor battery characteristics. This device will show the same details shown in the Roamer app in a dashboard in Home Assistant.
DIY Hardware Projects - Coming 2026
We are working actively on several new DIY hardware projects to add to our system.
Full control of the 4D diesel heater and full access to metrics. Build a DIY inline gateway to sit in between your current controller and the diesel heater. We recommend you keep your existing controller to allow control just in case of an emergency.
Build your own tank level to measure your water using a float resistance based float valve.
Build your own IR blaster device to control any IR supported integrations, e.g. Maxxfan.
We all want to know the basics, temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure for our vehicle. Build this device to measure them all.
