Sensa grew in pieces. So did the admin.

You know the story about your van. The heating has its own app, the power has another, the lights have a remote, and none of them talk to each other. Sensa Nomad answers that by making the subsystems talk and bringing them into one panel.

Somewhere along the way we did the same thing to ourselves. Your order lived in one place. Your licence lived in another. The design you drew in Sensa Studio lived somewhere else again, and the date your subscription renewed lived in an email you would have to go and find. Nothing was ever lost. Nothing was together either.

Open Vehicles and there it is. Each Sensa system on your account, the devices inside it, when each one last reported in, and which support plan covers it. One van is one row. A fleet is the same page with more rows.

A system reports in by itself once it is running. There is nothing to register, no serial number to type in and no spreadsheet to keep of what is fitted where.

Household

Add the people you travel with to your household and they are covered by what you have already paid for. No buying it twice, no sharing a password, no working out whose phone the app is supposed to be on.

Invitations go out by email. The person who owns the household sets each member’s name and photo, so the vehicle knows who is who. They can also remove anyone who moves on.

Orders and Subscriptions

Orders holds everything you have bought from Sensa, what it cost and where it has got to. Subscriptions holds what is still running: what it renews at and the date it renews on. No digging through an inbox for a receipt, and no renewal that arrives as a surprise.

Radar Premium lives here too. Start it, cancel it or pick it back up. Payment runs through Stripe, so your card details stay with them and never with us.

Studio designs

The vehicles you design in Sensa Studio are saved to your account rather than to the machine you drew them on. Sign in somewhere else and they are already there.

Share one and whoever you send it to can open it from a link, with no Sensa account of their own. Useful for an installer quoting the job, or the friend who wants to build the same thing.

Saved locations, Tracking and Community

Sensa Radar keeps the map. MySensa keeps the record.

Saved locations are the places you starred, on a map and as a list. Tracking is the history of the journeys Radar recorded, drawn out route by route, and it stays switched off until you turn it on. Community shows the places you have submitted to the Radar map, what happened to each one and how close you are to the monthly reward. Radar Premium shows who holds a seat and which licence pays for them.

It shows you. It does not touch.

MySensa is a window onto your account, not a remote control. It will not switch anything on, start a mode, change a setting or acknowledge an alarm, and it does not talk to your vehicle directly: your system sends its news to Sensa, and MySensa shows you what Sensa has. Take MySensa away tomorrow and your vehicle carries on exactly as before, because the system that runs it lives in the vehicle.

MySensa is free with your Sensa account and there is no paid version of it. Some of what it shows you is paid, such as a Radar Premium subscription or a Nomad Support Plan, but the portal itself never is.

Do I need a Sensa account, and how do I get one?

Yes. MySensa has no public area, so every page sits behind sign-in. You almost certainly have an account already: buying from the Sensa shop, saving a design in Sensa Studio or signing up for Sensa Radar all create one, and the same sign-in works across the lot. If none of those apply, signing in for the first time will set one up.

Do I need Sensa hardware to use MySensa?

No. If all you have is a free Sensa Radar account or a design saved in Sensa Studio, MySensa still has a job to do, because it is where both of those live. The Vehicles area simply stays empty until there is a system on your account.

Can I control my van or boat from MySensa?

No, and that is deliberate. MySensa shows you your account, it does not operate your vehicle. It will not switch anything on, start a mode, change a setting or acknowledge an alarm. The control panel in the vehicle does that. MySensa does not talk to the vehicle directly either: your system sends its news to Sensa, and MySensa shows you what Sensa has.

What happens if MySensa is unavailable?

Your vehicle carries on exactly as before. The system that runs the heating, power, lighting, water and security lives in the vehicle rather than in the cloud, so none of it depends on MySensa being reachable. What you lose while MySensa is down is the view of your account, not control of anything.

Who else can see what is in my account?

Only the people you add to your household, and only for the things a household shares. A Sensa licence belongs to the household rather than to one person, which is what lets everyone aboard use what you have paid for once. The person who owns the household can see who is in it and remove anyone at any time.

What does MySensa cost?

Nothing. MySensa is free with your Sensa account and there is no paid version of it.

What does it run on, and can I install it?

The web, iOS and Android. It installs to a phone’s home screen straight from the browser rather than from an app store, so it behaves like an app once it is there and keeps itself up to date without you doing anything.

What do you do with my data?

MySensa sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Signing in stores an authentication token in your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. What we hold in your account, and for how long, is set out in the privacy policy.
