Who manages what
Every Nomad system runs the same software. What changes between DIY, Enthusiast and Appliance is how much you set up and run yourself, and how much we handle for you.
The Sensa-managed rows (updates, backups and remote access) are covered by the Sensa Nomad Support Plan. The first year is included in the price of every system, and after that the plan renews at £99 to £169 a year depending on your tier. Renewing is optional and the van keeps working either way.
With Appliance the underlying system is locked and managed by Sensa. With Enthusiast we supply the whole software stack but you keep Home Assistant admin, so updates, backups and remote access are yours to run. With DIY you supply the machine and the Home Assistant install, and add the Sensa Control app to it yourself.
