Your systems

The van keeps the kit it has. Batteries, heater, pump, lights, cameras, router. Sensa doesn’t replace them, it connects to them, each by whatever it speaks: a wire, a radio, or its own protocol.

The brain

A Raspberry Pi 5 or an AI-capable Mini PC on the Vision tier, mounted out of sight, running everything locally: the dashboards, the instincts, your routines. Silent, low-power, and boots with the leisure battery.

Your screens

Three views of one system. A habitation screen for living, a glanceable cab screen for driving, and your phone for when you’re away. Same brain behind all of them.

Sensa is built around the kit vans actually carry and it wires in alongside your existing controls, never instead of them. Every switch, every panel, every knob keeps doing its job with Sensa or without it.

What a system is made of.

Three levels, bought in this order. The Core is the only part every system has. What you add after that follows from what you want to control.

The Core

Every system has one

The computer that runs everything, mounted out of sight and powered from the leisure battery. One per vehicle. Pick the tier that suits the build: each one runs the same Nomad software, and the tier sets how much it can take on. The first year of the Support Plan is in the price.

The Core is the brain. These are its hands and ears. Each one exists to control a specific set of devices, so work down the list picking off the things you want to control. Plenty of builds only need a few.

A MiFi or your phone's hotspot will get the van online. What a proper router adds is position for Radar and a tidy wired lane for screens and modules, which is why most builds fit one.

These are groups rather than the full list. See every individual device Nomad can talk to, with photos and the detail on each.

What the tags on level 3 mean

  • Direct Speaks to the Core on its own. No add-on needed.
  • Needs a relay A plain 12V load, so it needs a relay module to switch it.
  • Needs an adapter Joins over Zigbee or Bluetooth, so the Core needs the matching adapter.
  • Needs a sensor board Read by one of our level boards rather than by the Core directly.
  • Needs a controller Dimming and colour need the LED controller. A relay can only switch the strip on and off.

Which adapter a device needs depends on the device: a rooftop aircon usually speaks Bluetooth, a door sensor Zigbee. Sensa Studio works that out for your build, device by device, and gives you the list.
